2. Data processed for website provision and log file creation
a) What data is processed when accessing the website?
Each time content is accessed on the website, data that may allow identification is temporarily stored. The following data is collected:
- Date and time of access
- IP address
- Hostname of the accessing computer
- Website from which this website was accessed
- Websites accessed via this website
- Pages visited on our website
- Notification of whether the access was successful
- Amount of data transmitted
- Information about the browser type and version used
- Operating system
The temporary storage of this data is necessary for the course of a website visit to enable the delivery of the website. Further storage in log files is carried out to ensure the functionality of the website and the security of information technology systems. This constitutes our legitimate interest in data processing.
b) What is the legal basis for processing this data?
The data is processed on the basis of Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. The website is hosted by Strato GmbH, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, which acts as a processor. The hosting provider receives the aforementioned data as part of the service. You can reach the host via its contact form at the following link.
c) How long is the data stored?
The data is deleted as soon as it is no longer required for the purpose of its collection. For website provision, this occurs when the session ends. Log files are kept directly accessible only to administrators for up to 6 months. After that, they are indirectly available through backup reconstruction and are permanently deleted after a delay. Your personal data will be deleted immediately if you withdraw your consent.
3. Data collected during contact with our company
When contacting us via our contact form, the following personal data is collected and transmitted:
- First name
- Last name
- Company
- Phone number
- Reason for the inquiry
- Time of the inquiry
When contacting us via email or post, we process the personal data you provide to respond to your inquiry. The processing of your name, a valid email address, and phone number is mandatory to handle inquiries. Additionally, the date and, if applicable, the time of registration are processed. We process and use your data solely to respond to your inquiry and to provide our services.
4. Applicant data for the eCommerce-Brigade Expert Pool
When applying for membership in the eCommerce-Brigade or for placement with interested companies, we process the data you submit, including name, address, phone numbers, email addresses, and other personal data contained in your application documents. Based on the application documents provided, you will receive an acknowledgment of receipt, follow-up information, or invitations. Data is processed exclusively for application handling or placement purposes.
5. Legal basis for processing
- Processing requiring your consent is based on Article 6(1)(a) GDPR.
- Processing necessary for contract performance or pre-contractual measures is based on Article 6(1)(b) GDPR.
- Processing required to fulfill legal obligations, such as tax requirements, is based on Article 6(1)(c) GDPR.
6. Rights of data subjects
a. Right to access
You can request information about the personal data we process about you under Article 15 GDPR.
b. Right to object
You have the right to object to data processing for specific reasons (see Section II).
c. Right to rectification
If your data is incorrect or incomplete, you can request correction under Article 16 GDPR.
d. Right to erasure
Under Article 17 GDPR, you can request the deletion of your personal data.
e. Right to restrict processing
Under Article 18 GDPR, you have the right to request the restriction of your personal data’s processing.
f. Right to data portability
Under Article 20 GDPR, you have the right to receive data processed with your consent or in contract fulfillment in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format. However, the collection of data for website provision and log files is necessary for operation, based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, and does not meet the criteria of Article 20 GDPR.
g. Right to withdraw consent
You may withdraw your consent at any time under Article 7(3) GDPR.
h. Right to object under Article 21(1) GDPR
You have the right to object to the processing of personal data based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR for reasons related to your particular situation. If you exercise this right, the controller will no longer process the data unless compelling legitimate grounds outweigh your interests, or the processing serves legal claims.

7. Consequences of not providing personal data
Providing personal data may be required by law (e.g., tax regulations) or contractually (e.g., contract partner information). Failure to provide personal data may prevent the conclusion of a contract.
